First off, a HUGE apology for being such a blog slacker as of late. Last night, laying in bed, I made a promise to myself, my family, and my friends that I will be a better blogger. To shoot for at least one post a day - big or small. My problem is that I approach this as a "story" vs. just writing a little tid-bit and before I know it, I've spent more of my life then I ever should have on writing a simple blog entry. So...here we are...recommitting to the world of blog. Me, Hunter, and Wally. And of course, Ty and Rosco will be regularly mentioned ;).

Now...to today's post. (Notice that..."today's post"...as in...there'll be one tomorrow! :) ) I have had the most horrible allergies this year. I think it's a combination of the delayed spring and the vast amount of moisture. Things usually bloom big here in Kalispell anyways, but this year seems exceptionally gigantic. The grass is growing taller, the pollen is flowing thicker, and the cottonwoods are STILL proliferating the "white fuzz" into the air.

And then...this happened. One night the dogs came in from their pre-bed potty break in the empty lot next door (a couple of stories in and of themselves that I'll save for later 1) the empty lot next door and 2) peeing away from our green lawn) and when they walked into the light of the kitchen, we discovered their black fur covered in the very thing that has left me scratchy, sniffy, stuffy and overall ick for the past few months:

And I wonder why I can't breathe as of late. My own dogs are sabotaging me with grass pollen from the empty (and overgrown) lot next door.
